As a key player in the global import and export trade, China’s port workers are amongst the most efficient.

Since 2012, China has been
expanding its port facilities -
building berths wide
enough to handle mega ships.

Their investments add up to
approximately 1 trillion yuan.

Under the BRI, Chinese companies
have also helped in the expansion of
42 ports in 34 BRI countries.

Some of these megaports are located in
Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Greece.
